If you're living in the UK or Ireland then you've been living with a heat wave the last few days and the heat is set to continue. And if you're anything like us you may be finding if hard to train in this heat, so we've decided to pull together a list of the best gear for training in the heat!

The Columbia Montrail collection is perfect for training in this hot weather. Columbia’s amazing Omni-Freeze ZERO: Sweat-Activated Cooling technology helps to keep you cool whilst training.

The Columbia Titan Lite Windbreaker II feature this Omni-Freeze technology. ZERO sweat-activated super cooling and Omni-shield advanced repellency. We'll take that.

From the same collection the Titan Ultra Short Sleeve Shirt is right up our street. This features Omni-Freeze ZERO sweat-activated super cooling, and Omni-wick to keep you cool. We also love the pastel colours.

We're big fans of 1000 Mile Breeze Socks, we got our first pair earlier in the summer and they've been serving us well, especially on longer runs.  They're £12.49 but totally worth the spend.

Designed to keep your feet cool and comfortable during the hot weather, the inner liner is made from NILIT BREEZE fibres to offer maximum breathability and ventilation and transfers body heat and gives a smooth cooling sensation to the skin.

We also love this from Icebreaker, the Cool-Lite Sphere Tee! Icebreaker all about wearing wool in summer and I know you often equate wool to winter months but...Icebreaker cool-lite technology is the perfect blend of merino and TENCEL which wicks away like no other fibres. It also helps you regulate your temperate like your personal AC as you blow hot or cold!

And if you're still feeling sweaty, overheated and can't escape the heat check out these essential cooling products from Ultimate Performance, including ice bags, cool packs, balms, wraps and more starting from £3.99.

We have to admit when we overheat it's always down to the wrong footwear so the perfect socks for training are important to us. These Smartwool PhD Run Light Elite Low socks from Ellis Brigham are a great option for running training. They boast targeted cushioning for comfort while running, plus mesh ventilation zones for temperature control. Smartwool Indestructawool technology ensures they've got the durability needed to last run after run.
