It's that time of the year again lots of you either planning or booking your snow holidays! Ski and snowboarding holidays don't have to break the bank, here we run through the 5 best resorts for a cheap snow holiday.

Pas de la Casa in Andorra is an amazing option if you want to get away to the snow for cheap, and it’s an amazing spot for both beginners and more intermediate. Andorra lies between the border of Spain and France, so there are options to fly to any of the major airports in either country and drive the rest. The beauty of Andorra is its cheap ski passes and accommodation versus France, Austria and beyond. Andorra has an incredible snow record too, in fact, there was 20cm of fresh snow in Andorra just this morning.

Austria’s Zell am See is another pick for a cheaper than most ski holiday. Zell am See offers 138km of slopes above the Schmittenhöhe Mountain. The ski pass covers the whole area including your bus transport to and from the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. The glacier means almost year round skiing too, so you can go later in the season. You can get to Zell am See by flying into Salzburg or Munich airport so keep an eye out for cheap flights. Lots of ski companies offer amazing all inclusive deals, so your flights, transfers, accomodation and ski pass and rentals are all included.

Soll in Austria is part of the Ski Welt which is an incredibly interconnected ski area - lots of skiing or snowboarding for any level. It’s a cheap resort accommodation wise with hotel, apartment and hostels available for big groups, couples or families. You can book an all inclusive deal or book all the elements separately. Fly to Innsbruck, Salzburg or Munich.

Val Thorens, France is another great spot for cheap snow deals. They have a ton of accommodation options that won’t break the bank, but for a week skiing or snowboarding Val Thorens will be the perfect base camp. The resort sits at 2300m so you can ski in and ski out of a lot of the properties and there’s always great snow conditions long into the season. Again all levels are covered here, plenty for the beginners and the extremists in your group.

The last of our picks for best resorts for a cheap snow holiday is Les Deux Alpes again in France. The resort sits in a narrow valley above the Lac Du Chambon. It’s a bustling little town, so plenty to do even if you’re not skiing or snowboarding. But if you are hitting the slopes expect epicness in the three valleys, including reliable glacial skiing, off-piste runs and snow parks. Getting there is made easy by flying to Grenoble, Lyon or Geneva, plus there are loads of transfer options from each airport. Choose to book all inclusive deals on the cheap with agents like Directski.com or Topflight, or chose to book the different elements like flights, transfer, accommodation and ski pass. It’s a perfect resort for cheap and cheerful.

All that remains is finding your snow crew, dusting off the gear and booking.
