This will be of interest to our UK readers!!! Fancy joining hundreds of women to hike the UK? Well, we might just have the adventure for you.

The Women’s End2End Relay is a hiking challenge stretching from Land’s End (western Cornwall, England) to John O’Groats (in the far north of Scotland) aimed at women of all ages and fitness levels.

Starting on 1 April, participants from across the UK are invited to join the baton as it passes through England, Wales and Scotland covering 2,028km and taking a total of 74 days to complete.

Organiser, Bex Band, founder of women’s only adventure company Love Her Wild says, “the team relay format gives participants the choice to opt in for however long they wish. We hope to encourage more women across the UK to get outdoors and explore our incredible wild spaces. Our tagline is ‘we believe every woman deserves an adventure.’ Adventure builds confidence, forges new friendships and helps women realise their true potential.”

We love this part of the event – as well as celebrating women getting outdoors, the relay will also be highlighting the importance of protecting the UK’s wild spaces with all money raised from the relay supporting UK based conservation work carried out by The Woodland Trust

Participants of the relay will also enjoy an exclusive offer from event sponsor Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports who will help kit out the women for their exciting adventure!

We've picked our three essentials for hiking in April.
