The Edit: Our Picks of Adventure Essentials this Month
Each month we pick our adventure essentials making waves in our world. Whether it's the perfect headphones for a workout, a must have biking accessory or a new line of tees we'll share our faves.
This month.
A triathlon must have is a decent road bike. We were looking for a good bike option for a beginner triathlon athlete, and also one that doesn't blow the budget. We searched high and low, looked at lots of different brands and finally set our sights on this Viking number from Avocet Sports. The bike is pretty slick, not as lightweight as some other brands, it has an Alloy 700c road frame, but as a starter tri bikes, it's perfect. It also boasts zoom road handlebars, alloy ahead stem, and an anatomic road saddle with micro adjust seat post so you're comfy on your Sprint or Olympic triathlon.
Next up. We're big Patagonia fans here at Girl Outdoor Magazine, the company ethos of creating sustainable outdoor clothing is commendable. So when we went in search for the perfect backpack for a bike commute we looked to the Patagonia Black Hole 25L Backpack. The backpack is made from Polyester, is water resistant and has top loader design and adjustable padded shoulder straps so it's super comfy. We nabbed a bargain on Surfdome.ie, but Patagonia products are available from stockists globally.

Finally, goggles. With triathlon season well underway we treated ourselves to an updated pair of goggles this month. Zoggs Panorama Smoke Goggles have built in anti-fog lenses and 180-degree peripheral vision, so you can have a better visual when you're in the swim section of your triathlon. The swim portion of the triathlon can be difficult enough, but at least now we'll be able to see clearly where we're going! Win.
