Texapore Ecosphere is the world’s first 100% recyclable jacket and coat range by Jack Wolfskin and part of the Texapore range. Each Texapore Ecosphere jacket is made using a 100% recycled outer material, 100% recycled liner and, most significantly, a 100% recycled membrane. Cotswold Outdoor now has the latest Jack Wolfskin Texapore Ecosphere range available in selected stores and online via cotswoldoutdoor.com.
The new approach from Jack Wolfskin conserves raw materials and reduces C02 emissions during the production process - you gotta love that. The outer fabric and lining of the jackets are produced in an upcycling process from post-consumer PET bottles helping to combat the environmental impact of single use plastics.
While many manufacturers are able to boast recycled jacket outers, the Texapore Ecosphere range by Jack Wolfskin is unique in employing 100% recycled materials throughout the garments - this applies to the outer fabric, membrane and lining. For the first time, the brand has succeeded in manufacturing a membrane in an environmentally friendly way by using recycled post-production remnants and is also completely PFC – free. This is a pretty big deal.
Plus the Texapore Ecosphere membrane is highly technical. Windproof and waterproof to 20,000mm, it also features a breathability rating of 15,000 g/m2/24h. So you don't need to compromise.
